WrestleMania 21 on X BOX

I went over my cousins house the other day and he had hired out Wrestle Mania 21 for his XBOX. I played career mode and its got a great story line, except that you have to be a created player, you cant be an actual wwe supastar. Another good thing about the game is your created player talks and you get money in exabition.

It's awesome.... I played it at my friend's house, the graphics are awesome, and the gameplay is good too. I like this game a lot!

According to most, this has actually been a flop. Not suprising, as the X-Box team has failed to produce the goods with both RAW and RAW 2. IGN's review on WM 21 pretty much sums it up in the first two paragraphs:

"Compared to the PS2, Xbox owners have had slim pickings when it comes to WWE wrestling games. This is especially odd considering that when the system launched Bill Gates was joined by the Brahma Bull himself. While the PS2-exclusive SmackDown! series has continued to evolve with each yearly installment, Xbox owners have been left with Acclaim's lackluster Legends series and the older RAW games.

I had hoped that all this would change with the announcement of WrestleMania 21 by Studio Gigante. With highly detailed player models and motion captured animation, the game started to visually shine early in its development cycle. If it could match the accessibility and gameplay options of SmackDown!, wrestling fans would have themselves a treat. Looks however, can be deceiving. While WrestleMania 21 has the outward appearance of a champion, it plays like a 98-pound weakling."

The intros and special moves are spot-on. The menu system is difficult to navigate and the game chugs during transitions.

The player models are exceptional and animations are very realistic. This is one good-looking game.

Official wrestler themes and custom soundtracks counteract the outdated licensed music and poor voice-over work.
5.0 Gameplay
The grappling system feels frustrating even with the addition of counters. This is due to the numerous issues concerning poor A.I. and collision detection.

There are a good number of gameplay modes and there is also online play, but these are both negated by the disturbing gameplay issues.

Well i had a quick look at the game the grahpics are alright and the game play looks alright... I would buy the game if i had an X-Box..
But PS2 would be better to play it on if it was on PS2.

"Ps2 has a better hand control for a wrestling based game than X Box.. Because of X Box technical controls its harder to use than PS2.. PS2's buttons are straight foward in simplicity but X Box's are too spaced from the D-Pad and such"

Oh yeah fair enough. I find the small XBOX controls are much better and are ideal once you are used to them.

Yeah it would be good when your used to it.. But imagine a brand new person to play X Box on a wrestling game.. They would be like.. WTFMATE!

yeh so it still has got a good story line even if it is like some other game. It doesnt make it any less fun.

I like how in this game the United States championship is the one that cena disigned also cena raps in the game thats cool.

The IC championship looks crap, its just gold, the blue part in the middle is not on there.

That sucks. Cena's championship should never be in the game... it was just him only and it looks stupid... just because some stupid tryhard white trash used it doesn't mean the rest of the superstars should have to use it.

No... it's a disgrace to the WWE, no matter who changes the title, whoever changes it is pretty much spitting in the face of the WWE. It's a :-*ing title, not a hub cap!
