I think that Twenty20 matches are just a gimmicked match made to draw crowds. There is no real point behind it, and encourages bad cricket(having a slog). I think they should remove it from international cricket.

Twenty20 cricket was made for those of us who like it quick and with a lot of runs and wickets. I quite like twenty20 because there it is quikc and there is a lot of action.
Also, Australia got PWNED!!1

Its a combination.. Yes it does draw in crowds and bring money.. But if thats the case then it is working and must be good if everyone wants to see it.. Also its not just slogging 80% of all the shots are correct cricket shots.. They just play them more often than blocking because they need to score runs.. But wouldn't you do that if you needed heaps of runs in a game

What are you talking about Lance, It makes cricket more enjoyable, theres no reason for them to take it out of international cricket and its way better to watch then a 50 over or definetly a test match

The whole point of it was to draw in people who can't pay attention for a full day... or five days. With the limited overs, players are more inclined into playing a quicker game, as a few wickets won't really matter towards the game. Another encouragement to slogging is that No Ball ruling, giving the batsmen a free hit The games are alright for national level, but I don't think it suits the International level, pretty much the opposite playing of a Test match.

Free Hit doesn't encourage slogging, It encourages batsmen to not slog until they get Free Hit chances.. Why waste your wicket with a slog when you can slog a free hit just play faster and more power shots during normal deliveries..
