I'll try and scan a copy of this 'letter to the editor' from the July issue of the TV Guide, but if anybody has the magazine - have a look at it.
Basically, the person doesn't like the WWE and criticised them for showing a "mindless assault by two men on a helpless human being". This wasn't all though, they reckon the "referee and promoters of this disgusting event should be charged with aggravated assault".
I know WWE is a thing you either love or hate, but I found this letter hilarious to read! Take a look if you can, and I'll try to scan a copy for those who don't have Foxtel.
EDIT: It's actually the July issue this is in, the one with famous Australian musicians such as Mark Seymour on the cover.

I wonder if they are referring to the "Terrorist" Angle on Smackdown...

This is the article: " WWE Smacked DownI am writing to complain about the atrociouss wrestling match on May 8 called Smackdown. I was not the only one who was absolutely disgusted about the way three supposedly intelligent individuals were allowed to conduct an anything goes assualt on one poor individual. Now, to my way of thinking you wouldn't receive this barbaric treatment in a war. The referee and the promoters of this disgusting event should be charged with aggravated assault. This is only encouraging people, and in particular children, to become violent towards one another." D Gregory, QLD----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It says that it was the May 8 show and that was like 2-3 months ago! so it can't be terroist storyline... It was probably a beat down on Cena by JBL and his cabinet.. Well I hope so But these viewers like this guy must think its completely real because of all the blood But he does sorta have a point.. Like what he is saying is true, But no one cares.. LOL

ROFL, what a tool. I don't think he realizes the Superstars aren't out to hurt each other. He should have realized that the show also has a PG rating and also that at the start of the show they always have "Don't try this at home". I do not understand how they can be encouraging voilence when they clearly say "Do not try this at home".

I do not understand how they can be encouraging voilence when they clearly say "Do not try this at home". Exactly. I mean, most of the really painful moves are incredibly difficult, and so most people wouldn't even be able to perform them... thus they couldn't become violent. When you see wrestling fans doing wrestling moves on each other, it's something simple like a headlock or something that isn't violent. BTW... thanks 619 for posting the lot.

Damn - beat me to posting that one Lance.
Congratulations to T. Cooper (whoever you are), that was a well written response. I really like the line "It's Not Real!"
Well done T. Cooper!

I wouldn't call the WWE "fake" or not "real". There is nothing that isn't real about what they do in the ring, just the competitive side of things. Every bump they take hurts, it's not made of BBQ sauce!
