Due to the unfortunate terrorist attacks in London on Thursday, July 7, which coincided with our pre-produced WWE SmackDown! program, UPN has asked us to be sensitive to the usage of the Arab-American character, Muhammad Hassan. We have agreed with UPN, and have not had the character on SmackDown! since that date. It is uncertain as to whether or not the WWE will continue with this character beyond this Sunday’s Pay-Per-View, The Great American Bash.
Information from wwe.com
So i wonder will he be released or what?

Well if WWE see him as a good talent they will just change his gimmick Yeah I think that's what they'll do, except he had such a large and strong gimmick that will be tough to change. I think it's great that WWE are showing such sensitivity to the events *claps*

I think WWE should leave Hassan as he is. the network companies. This rebellious attitude proved to work well during the Attitude Era. Claiming it is bad taste to show a wrestler who is Arabian (and claimed by facist newspaper reporters as a "terrorist", while WWE has clearly show that Hassan is not a terrorist, but is an Arab trying to be accepted by American society. I find it ironic that character claims that he struggles to join the American Society because they hold it against him because he is Arabian, and then the exact thing happens to the charachter, but not as a storyline, but by the stupid Network Companies), is like cancelling all shows that feature Arabian charachters, actors and references.

OMG!
Source: WrestlingObserver.com
-- Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE will be dropping the Hassan character, and he will not be moving back to RAW
-- No word on Daivari, who at current state of play, WWE wish to keep.
Does that mean he will have his last match at the Bash? Taker will probably win due to the London bombings and WWE not wanting to glorify Hassan.
I dont think that it is right to drop him because they will be doing exactly what he always complains about. Discriminating against him for being arabic. Get over it WWE!

Now that Hassan's brutal fate is known (he was killed off by the Undertaker at the Bash PPV)... what do you think of the WWEs decision?

It would be easier just to release him. But if they want to keep him they should change the Arab style of himself.

I rekon they should drop the arab line anyway.. its too corny and offensive for some.. I rekon he should just fit in as a normal wrestler and use his talents effectively

(he was killed off by the Undertaker at the Bash PPV)... Last time I checked, powerbombs don't "kill" people. I think the WWE shoudld continue with the Hassan charachter. I find nothing wrong with it, the media is just over reacting due to the recent terrorist threats.

I just think that personally WWE are pushing it by having this character at this current stage,, Maybe if it was a little lower in seriousness in the terror threats but everyone is a little edgey and WWE could upset a few fans

I find nothing wrong with it, the media is just over reacting due to the recent terrorist threats. He said this before the match: Before the match, a brash and confident Hassan spoke of his sacrifices as an Arab-American, ensured that he’d be the next No. 1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship and then proclaimed that if he lost, it would be the final time he’d show his face. So that means he will go back to OVW probably and then come back with a different gimmick. Orton was supposed to intefere in this match and it was then going to be Taker Vs. Orton at Summerslam. Wonder whats gonna happen now? Maybe Orton will make Taker lose his Number one contendership on Smackdown? As for Hassan, I hope he does come back because he was a decent midcarder and could have been a main-eventer.
