"After reports were just released on why WWE was not fearing the possibility of Chris Jericho signing with TNA, it seems that Jericho is teasing the unthinkable. The wrestler is currently teasing a debut with the number two promotion.
Chris Jericho's website currently features a graphic with the wrestler posing in front of the TNA logo. While the poor-quality image can certainly not be taken as a source, it certainly adds a new twist to the story.
Because the wrestler has a history of using his website to work Internet fans, one should take this particular tease with a grain of salt. The likelihood of Jericho having worked out a deal with TNA is not very strong, and the odds are that the graphic was merely a comedic attempt to generate publicity.
If Jericho were to sign with TNA, however, it would greatly shock WWE officials. The impression he gave upon leaving was that he had no desire to sign with TNA and would return to WWE in 2006."

"Update: As Richard reported, Chris Jericho's website presently features a graphic with the wrestler posing in front of the TNA logo. If there is anything to the graphic, and there most likely is not, WWE sources would certainly be surprised. To find out why, read below:
While there remains the possibility of Chris Jericho debuting with TNA, WWE officials have absolutely no fear that he will do so, reports PWTorch.com And, even if he did, WWE does not believe his presence alone could help make TNA a serious competitor.
Upon embarking on his hiatus, Jericho made it clear to Vince McMahon that he had no intentions of signing with TNA. Thus, if Jericho were to go back on his word, he would burn a serious bridge with WWE and risk having the door closed on a possible return (at least in terms of being a main-event performer). Because Jericho cannot be sure TNA will be a stable, long-term alternative job source, the negatives seem to outweigh the positives for the gamble that is TNA.
With that in mind, it's not as if Jericho has given TNA a great deal of consideration. While the possibility is always open, the wrestler has not expressed anything that could be perceived as a desire to join the company.
But, what if he does? In that case, WWE officials are still not worried, as they do not believe a promotion can be built around Chris Jericho. WWE is very high on Jericho, but the feeling is that he's not nearly big enough a star to single-handedly take a promotion to war with WWE. Obviously, WWE would be upset to lose one of its top performers, but just as Chris Jericho won't be the shot in the arm TNA needs to seriously compete, his absence from WWE would hardly drive it into the ground."

In a press release that is on Chris Jericho's official website dated 8/22 but not actively linked from the main page of the website, Jericho announces that he has left World Wrestling Entertainment for other endeavors.
In the statement, Jericho writes, "I eventually had my first match on Oct 2, 1990 in Ponoka, Alberta….and on August 22, 2005 in Hampton, Virginia, I had my last match. For now. Yes it’s true. After months of speculation and rumors and numerous decoys and red herrings being thrown about, the official news from the boss man (me) is that I am leaving the WWE." Jericho noted that after wrestling for 15 years, he was mentally burnt out and that he is a "goal oriented person who thrives on a challenge and I’m not challenged by wrestling at this point in time," noting that he has accomplished everything he ever wanted to do in the business.
Jericho noted that at this point, he is going to focus on his rock band Fozzy and his satellite radio show while also going out on auditions for acting parts, noting that he's filmed a role for a Sci-Fi Channel film that will air next year. Jericho will also continue to make appearances on VH-1's Best Week Ever.
In regard to his future in the wrestling business, Jericho wrote, "Whether I do achieve success outside of wrestling or I don’t, I can say one thing for sure…I’m not retiring from the wrestling business. Too many people over too many years have said that and have constantly returned. I’m not leaving the WWE for good, I’m not leaving wrestling for good. When I’m ready to come back I will. It may be one month, it may be one year, but when the time is right, I’ll know and I will return and be better than ever...I wouldn’t think of returning any other way.
You won’t see me doing any conventions or indie shots in the meantime. If I’m going to be in the wrestling biz, it will be with the WWE. I’m a member of the WWE family for the rest of my life…just like the mafia…and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my company. So you won’t see me doing any shoot interviews either. Why would I? Vince and I have accomplished a lot of awesome things together and I have nothing but respect for him."
Of course, that leaves a question of why there's a graphic of him in front of TNA's logo out in the open. You can read the entire statement, which also includes a list of Jericho's 20 favorite matches that he's been involved in, by clicking here.

So Jericho has left WWE... but he says that he might come back, and it will be with WWE. So that's good, I wouldn't want to see him in TNA or anything. Or it could all be another Matt Hardy work...
