Last week at WWE Homecoming, Mr. McMahon and his entire family felt the wrath of Stone Cold Steve Austin when the Texas Rattlesnake hit all four with Stone Cold Stunners. Afterwards, an embarrassed Mr. McMahon told everyone that someone would pay for what had happened – someone would be fired.
Clearly enraged by last week’s incident, Stephanie McMahon kicked was not in a good mood this week on RAW. Stephanie said that she knows that no one likes her, but it’s because everyone is jealous of her. She said that she can do whatever she wants, whenever she wants, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. With that, she slapped a WWE employee to the ground when he tried to give her a cue to wrap things up. Lilian Garcia was visibly disgusted. After noticing her reaction, Stephanie gave Lilian a couple of vicious slaps across the face. Then a cameraman got too close to Mr. McMahon’s precious daughter, so she shoved him down as well. Stephanie then got on top of the RAW announce booth and proclaimed that the bitch was back.
The McMahon power trip continued later in the evening when Vince hit the ring. McMahon said that Stone Cold Steve Austin was responsible for last week’s embarrassment, but he wasn’t going to fire him. He then said that the fans were responsible for encouraging him. With that Mr. McMahon said that he wanted to hire everyone in Corpus Christi to work for him…only so that he could tell them that they’re fired. Then he brought Jonathan Coachman, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jim Ross to the ring. He said they were just as close to the action as the fans, but they stood by and did nothing while the McMahons were Stunned, one by one. He demanded an apology from each of them. The Coach and the King gave their apologies and were excused.
Then J.R. told Mr. McMahon that he was sorry that his wife had been Stunned. Mr. McMahon said J.R. had apologized, but it wasn’t enough. Stephanie McMahon then came out and demanded an apology for herself. J.R. once again apologized that Linda had been Stunned, and this only further enraged Stephanie, as she slapped him across the face. Mr. McMahon then said he wanted his son Shane to come out, but instead, Linda’s music hit as the CEO came to the ring. Linda said that WWE Homecoming was supposed to be a new beginning for the McMahon family. She said that you don’t get respect by yelling and screaming like Mr. McMahon or throwing fits like Stephanie. She said you have to take action. Then she turned to J.R. and said that on behalf of the entire McMahon family, “You’re fired.” Then, to add insult to injury, she delivered a quick kick to J.R.’s groin, causing him to double over in pain on the mat. As the audience showered the ring with a chorus of boos, Mr. McMahon, Stephanie and Linda celebrated in the ring together.
The McMahons weren’t the only ones embarrassed last week. Intercontinental Champion Ric Flair was attacked by his best friend Triple H. Flair was beaten so badly he couldn’t even make it to RAW this week. Triple H came to the ring to explain his actions. The Game said that he was the biggest Ric Flair fan there ever was. He said he was so excited when Ric Flair came back to WWE four years ago, but he came to realize he was only a shell of his former self. But then Triple H allowed the Nature Boy to bask in his glory and spotlight and he said that Flair appeared to be great again. But then the Cerebral Assassin said that about a month ago he saw Ric Flair’s face covered in spit and pieces of apple. He said it broke his heart to see people spit in the face of Flair’s legacy. After seeing what had happened, he said he knew he had to do something about it. He said he had to take the horse to the back of the barn and pull the trigger. He said that Flair is no longer the Dirtiest Player in the Game, he’s not really in the game, he’s not even a player. In fact, he said that for Flair the game is over.
Earlier in the evening, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Big Show and Edge all appeared on Carlito’s Cabana. All five Superstars claimed that they should be the No. 1 contender for John Cena’s WWE Championship. The Champ then came out and made fun of them all, fueling the fire for a monster six-man tag match that occurred later in the show. Cena teamed up with Big Show and HBK to take on Angle, Carlito and Edge. Shawn Michaels was in trouble early on, and Angle, Edge and Carlito all took turns putting him through the wringer. HBK persevered, however, and made the tag to Big Show who cleaned house. The largest man in sports-entertainment tagged in the Champ, who hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Angle, but he only got a two-count. Angle went for the ankle lock, but Cena reversed it into an ankle lock of his own. Knowing his own maneuver very well, Angle reversed it into a roll up for the pin and the 1-2-3, giving him even more fire power for his argument that he should be the No. 1 contender.
Women’s Champion Trish Stratus put her Championship on the line against the vicious Victoria. General Manager Eric Bischoff, who was on edge all night in fear that he’d be fired, barred Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle and Ashley from ringside. Victoria dished out a ton of punishment, working on Trish’s back, but Stratus reversed a power bomb attempt into a bridge for the pin. After the match, Victoria attacked Trish, prompting Ashley to try and make the save. Victoria got the best of that confrontation as well, though. Then another beautiful woman entered the ring and knocked Victoria out of the ring with vicious punches and kicks. The mystery girl then picked up the Women’s Championship and handed it to a baffled Trish. Afterwards, it was learned that the girl was a big fan of Trish. In fact, she revealed that she had written numerous letters to the Women's Champion in the past.
Last week Rob Conway interrupted all of the Legends at WWE Homecoming and received a Superfly Splash from WWE Hall of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka. This week Conway squared off against another Legend – Doink. Conway got the pin with the Ego Trip, but didn’t stop there as he beat on Doink after the match. Eugene made the save, but when he turned his back, he was greeted with an Ego Trip as well.
“The Masterpiece” Chris Masters was also in action. He was attacked by Tajiri during his entrance, but he overcame the early disadvantage and hooked in the Master Lock for the win.
