Thats right Guys ANOTHER TEKKEN!
For the history fanatics out there, Tekken 5 will have an Arcade History Mode which contains previous versions of Tekken That's right, not just one classic, but three of them. The arcade versions of Tekken, Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 are all included in all of their older graphical glory. The development team has also been extra careful to preserve the feeling of each of the previous versions so if you were hoping for smoother controls it's not going to happen. But should you want to see exactly what people were playing in the past ten years, here you go.
Another mode in Tekken 5 is called Tekken: Devil Within and this features Jin as he fights his way through a series of different rooms. There are five stages in all and his moves are a mix of new attacks for an open environment as well as some of his classic maneuvers from the regular 3D fighting. This new mode is very straightforward and is really more of a bonus place to play around than a genuine game unto itself, but it's still fun to roam the halls and knock everyone around for a bit.
To get some extra kick in there, Jin can also mutate into Devil Jin. It's a classic case of building up a power meter and then kicking in the devil powers to obliterate the opposition. Lasers shooting from eyeballs, wings popping out of his back, it's chaos and it helps to get the high scores up there.
There are also a few more unlockable characters than have been announced before. These are Mokujin, Kuma/Panda, Ganryu, and Bruce Irwin. Put everyone in the game together and there are a total of around 30 characters to play with. It's a pretty solid number and more than enough to provide enough combinations to keep the action going for a long, long time.
