My favourite is the PS2 because the GameCube has failed and XBOX's dont release as good games as PS2.. Gameboy you have no real control of your character with 2 buttons.. and haven't really had a good detailed look of a DS

Playstation 2. It has heaps of fans already, so the games just keep coming, and also the old PSone games as well. I have been a playstation owner for ages, so I got the PS2 over X-Box and Gamecube. I can't wait for the PSP(handheld Sony).

Better Graphics. Better Games. Better Controls - the smaller ones. The PS2 one is WAY too small.
Think about this as well - Every console has had its landmark games that only came out on the one console. Has PS2 ever had an absolute landmark game?
Xbox had Halo/Halo 2, Brute Force, Ninja Gaiden
Gamecube had Super Smash Bros Melee and Metroid: Prime
What has PS2 had?
I now that many of you think that the GTA series were the PS2’s breakthrough games but they were all cross-platform games and were better on PC and XBOX than on PS2. GTA San Andreas isn’t out on PC or Xbox yet, but its only a matter of time.
(I think that the original GTA was released on PC to start with. Correct me if I’m wrong)

GTA Series Origininal Resident Evil Series Metal Gear Sold Series Grand Turismo Series Hell! Even the Smackdown games pwn half of X-Box's games. And the X-Box wrestling games have always failed to deliver *cough*http://xbox.ign.com/articles/606/606033p1.html *cough* X-Box had the Rock at at their opening for the console, and still haven't been able to produce a solid wrestling game! X-Box isn't anywhere near as creative as PS2. Think about it: Eye Toy G-Con Singstar All new things that will influence the next generation of consoles. Face it, Playstation is the gaming king. Probably more people have Psones than people who have X-box's and Gamecube's. And that's without the PS2's! Half of the games on X-Box are built off of games made for PSone but then made sequels or other versions on X-Box. Gamecube isn't even worth arguing for, they don't even have game copies in stock at Video Ezy! Oh BTW, Super Smash Bro's was only good on the ol' 'tendo 64. Gamecube sucks and is for babies! |

There is no denieing that they are contenders for some of the best games in history. But that isn't until the 3rd version... like to remind me which console it was first released on ? And on the original PSone series, they were both released at the same time(on computer and psone). RE came to PC and cross platform as well An original PSone game which got upgraded to next generation. Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 were both released wayyy before they were on other consoles. I'll admit that GT was good but it wasnt revolutionary and groundbreaking as other games were [sarcasm]Yeh, Super Smash Bro's is so innovative! [/sarcasm] And face it, Halo isn't too special itself, just a First Person Shooter. Those other technological advances are absolute crap! Actually Dead or Alive is originally on Playstation 2, and it doesn't really matter because Tekken pwns it!
Also Rainbow 6 Series and Call of Duty are also on PS2.
I was thinking about it the other night, and thought up the top notch games made on Sony:
Need For Speed Series (was on PC, but was it's first console visit)
Ridge Racer Series - A succesful racing series
Grand Turismo Series - THE best racing game
Medal of Honour Series - One of the best realistic war sims
Syphon Filter Series - Just a great series
Crash Bandicoot Series - Set the standard for platformers
Ape Escape Series - Whole new platform game, upping the cutesy factor
Time Crisis Series - Biggest innovation with the G-Con
WWE Smackdown Series - Easily the best wrestling game on any console
PaRappa The Rapper/Um Jammer Lammy - Old PsOne games, but created the whole 'music' genre for games
Abe's Oddysee/Exodus - Originilaty at it's best
Resident Evil Series - Foundations for the future titles mad on PsOne
Tony Hawk Series - Best extreme sports game series ever
Tekken Series - You would have to be stupid to not know what Tekken is
Final Fantasy - Easily the best ever RPG, and some of the best graphics ever seen on PsOne onward, lets not forget the Final Fantasy movie.
Tomb Raider Series - Need I say more?
Metal Gear Solid Series - Probably one of the most original, entertaining games ever made
Sport games are not much to brag about. They are released on all consoles and pumped out the same, just cashing on the AFL or FIFA brand name.
