I have only played for a while, but it reminds of the GTA games, but there is more destruction. If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest you do, it is a great game!

You are a mercenary (a soldier who works for countries, lords etc and moves on). It is one massive level featuring I think 6 different countries. You do missions, where you mostly just have to destroy stuff, defeat armies, defend their base or take hostages. You get paid each time you do it. You can destroy pretty much anything. Don't like that air control tower? Fire a RPG at it a few times. That 747 in your way on the runway? Use a tank to blow it up.

It reminds me of GTA because of the general mayhem and destruction and also has the same gameplay.

It was released two months ago.. I hired it out along with another game 1nce.. and I played the other game first.. and I liked that one so much I didn't play Mercs.. lol
